Colabs World, Inc. · How to delete your account and what happens to your data

You can delete your Colabs account at any time, in the app or by email. You do not need to install or open the app to request deletion — email us using the steps in option 2.

1.Delete your account in the app

Open Colabs and sign in.
Tap your profile photo at the top of the screen, then tap Settings.
Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
Confirm with Delete my account. You’ll be signed out straight away.

2.Request deletion by email (no app needed)

Email privacy@colabs.ai from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Delete my Colabs account”. We use your account email to confirm the request is really yours; if you can no longer reach that address, tell us and we’ll ask for other information associated with the account. We act on verified requests within 30 days and reply to confirm when your account has been deleted.

3.What happens next

Immediately: your profile is hidden from everyone, you are signed out, and push notifications to that device stop.
For 29 days: you can change your mind — log back in and your account is restored. Nobody else can see it during this time.
After 29 days: your account is permanently erased and can no longer be restored.

4.What we delete

Your sign-in identity (email, password, and any linked Google or Apple sign-in).
Your profile: name, username (released for others to use), photo and cover photo, bio, phone number, date of birth, location, and the other details you added.
Your personal photos and media, push-notification tokens, profile views, suggested connections, and ad and affiliate interaction records tied to your account.
Your link to everything you contributed — what remains (see below) is no longer attributed to you.

5.What we keep, and for how long

Payment and financial records (if you ever made or received a payment) are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires — typically up to 7 years — attached only to an anonymous account ID, not your name or email.
Content you added to shared projects (files, images, posts) stays with the project for its other members, no longer attributed to you. If it contains your personal information, such as a photo of you, email us and we’ll review it.
Messages removed by deletion or disappearing timers are kept hidden for 30 days for safety and legal reasons, then permanently deleted.
De-identified and aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you, and standard backups, which are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
Legal holds: if the law requires us to preserve information — for example after a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, or a valid law-enforcement preservation request — the affected account stays hidden but is not erased until the hold ends.
